She is currently the executive director of the Funeral Ethics Organzation (FEO), a group promoting ethical practices within the funeral industry.

Prior to FEO, she served as executive director of the nonprofit Funeral Consumers Alliance. She is the author of 3 books on funeral law, helping consumers understand their rights and avoid exploitation by the funeral industry.
