Funeral Planning Help
How can these people help?
Below is a graphic overview for your reference. Please visit the
individual pages in this section for detailed descriptions
explaining:
- what they do
- how to find them
- what you can expect
- approximate cost for their services
When someone we love dies, we are generally not in the best
shape to take on the daunting task of planning a funeral. It takes
time and energy (of which we may have little) to gather the
information we need, attend to every detail, and coordinate the
whole affair.
There are as many ways to celebrate a life as there are
individuals in this world. We may want to know what our options
are, but don't have the time or access to the options available so
we do what is most familiar to us.
Here, we've organized some familiar (and not so familiar)
options so you know what funeral professionals are available, and
how you can put to work the people offering to help. However you
choose to celebrate the honoree, we encourage you to know what's
available, have a budget and try to stick to it.
While all funeral professionals can have more than one area of
expertise, we've laid out basic functions for each professional.
Some have expertise in more than one area so please check with your
funeral professional to see what services they offer. We encourage
you to confirm pricing, ask for references and interview any
funeral professional you are considering hiring.
